Identity Exploration

Students create self portraits based on aspects of their identity and examples of iconic self portraits. 

Students use watercolor paints to depict what they would look like if they were not human. 

Students work in small groups to create collages that represent their community. 

After reading "Red" by Michael Hall, students experiment with crayon technique. 

In this 3 session long Final Project, students create shapes with 12 sides that represent 12 different facets of their identity.
